A lot of people ask me for the best hotel in Tamarindo. I always tell them to look at AirBnbs. I mean living in nest on tree or a dome between trees with a terrasse where you can listen to nature and watch sunset while chilling in a pool sounds great right?
But to be honest everybody has different needs-AirBnbs dont include food and if you want to just relax in one place or you are travelling with children these places might not be right for you. That is why I compiled a list of main things to consider when choosing accomodation.
Underneath it you will find the best places to stay in Tamarindo.
And also dont forget Tamarindo is not only a resort place it is also a place to surf, snorkel, party, visit nature and wild life. If you are interested in that check some of our tours!
Main things to consider :
Do you want to be right on the beach? Your best option is some hotel.
Are you looking for luxury? A lot of villas, luxuries apartmants etc. on AirBnb. You could also go with Hotels
Do you want cheap accomoditation? I would go with airbnb- there is a lot of options for a good price.
Want to just relax and do nothing? Hotel with Wellness and restaurant is right for you.
Want some privacy? You have a lot of options there is a lot of AirBnbs which are private(some absolutely outside of civilization for example in forest, on tree etc.) You can also go to a adults only hotel.
Traveling in a group? You could rent some amazing villa from AirBnb.
Want to have food included? You have to go with hotels, but I think with so much amazing street food etc., it is not needed. You can take a look on my food blog later.
